We made it! Summer is here at last, and along with that comes wedding season. Many of you reading this will be putting together your last-minute preparations to celebrate the start of the next chapter of your life. On the other hand, lots of you will be picking up the magazine for the very first time to get inspiration for your wedding in 2019 and beyond. Wherever you are in your planning timeline, the upcoming pages are full to the brim with inspiration to help you create a day that truly reflects you as a couple.
Firstly, I can’t tell you how excited I am to show you the fabulous styled shoot we have on page 68. With 2019 set to be awash with vibrant tones, this fiesta-themed shoot at The Barn at Cott Farm is a riot of carnival colours. We’ve turned to our local experts on page 56 for their top tips and ideas for styling your big day, no matter where you choose to tie the knot, and don’t forget to flick to page 63 to get your taste buds tingling in our Catering feature.

The Bishop's Palace & Gardens
Hidden within the ancient ramparts and protected by a moat, 14 acres of Grade II listed, tranquil gardens await visitors. With herbaceous borders, the scent of roses, and pretty pools, there are endless photo opportunities against the backdrop of the cathedral. The palace dates back to the 13th century; the romantic ruins of The Great Hall complements the majesty of the medieval façade and awe-inspiring setting of the gatehouse and moat.
The adjacent town hall is available for the official ‘I dos.’ Parties then head to the venue to celebrate in a choice of spaces including the medieval Entrance Hall, the beautifully vaulted stone Undercroft, the Terrace and the Long Gallery, which features portraits of previous bishops. Guests can also explore the grounds that are home to the well pools that give the city its name.
