Almonry Barn
Almonry Barn is a beautiful, ancient monument more than 800 years old, and is surrounded by an apple orchard with views over Somerset. Neighbouring the barn is Muchelney Abbey, which overlooks the orchard and is available for couples to have pictures taken within its medieval ruins.
The barn has been sympathetically restored to contain the perfect mix of historical charm and 21st century luxury. The adjacent terrace is the perfect spot for welcome drinks and for watching the sun go down, while inside it’s full to the brim of stylish and romantic details, including a stunning chandelier in the main dining area – it’s incredibly romantic, and the perfect backdrop against the ancient stone work of the barn.
Couples looking to tie the knot here can host their ceremony upstairs in the old hayloft boasting striking oak beams and lovely elm boards. After the all-important vows, the reception is set in the main historical barn with a maximum capacity of 100 loved ones.
