Squeaky kids' party balloons are a thing of the past, instead a new breed of balloons have now found a forever home in wedding venue styling. I love the neutral tones of this welcome sign balloon display at Anna and Mat's wedding. Who knew balloons could be so classy?!

Ellen wore Tiana by Margot Bridal on her big day.

She walked past Parham House Brides (www.parhamhousebrides.co.uk) in Dunster every day as a little girl knowing she wanted to get her getting dress from there.

"Susan was just magical," she says. "I ended up choosing the first dress I put on. Mum couldn't stop crying! It was off-the-shoulder and just me all over."

Charvi and Josh's DJ, from Somerset Wedding DJs, played a combination of Western and Indian hits keeping the dancefloor packed. “The Indian contingent enjoyed teaching the English guests a thing or two about dancing!” the bride told us.

Kayleigh and Elliott met 10 years ago, while studying IT at Bridgwater College. They tied the knot in the spring this year at beautiful Hornsbury Mill.

In this cute pic, Kayleigh is presenting Elliott with a framed letter from his beloved Arsenal Football Club. "It made him cry... again!" she says.

I couldn't decide which was my favourite image from this shoot, so you'll definitely need to check it out for yourselves!

Taking the lead with the concept and planning of this vibrant shoot, photographer Bo Leray paired the city location with a bright and bold colour palette; and together, a team of local suppliers created a contemporary and romantic theme to excite and inspire. Influenced by Pantone colour of the year, Viva Magenta, the creatives set to work using varying shades of statement pink and red tones.

One of my highlights is this beautiful bouquet by https://flowersbypassion.com in Bath.

GIDDY UP!

It had been a childhood dream for bride Ellen to have a horse-drawn carriage at her wedding. “Riding through the village and having people wave to us like royalty was such a special touch,” she says. This stunner was provided by https://equuscarriages.co.uk

Because I can't get enough of this styled shoot, here's more!

Inspired by her love of roller skating and colour, Somerset-based wedding photographer Freya Steele (www.freyasteelephotography.com) decided to get a fabulous bunch of suppliers together to create an urban-edged shoot. “I'm crazy for a pop of colour in a photo shoot,” she says.

This trendy roller disco wedding features the work of other local lovelies including celebrant Jen Whitworth (www.jenthecelebrant.co.uk), suit by Suave Owl (www.suaveowl.co.uk), make-up artist Greici Rosa (www.instagram.com/greicirosaofficial), stationery by Hey Belles (www.heybelles.co.uk), and photo booth from The Proper Booth (www.theproperbooth.com).

Regency vibes are in thanks to Bridgerton, and happily in our region we have plenty of ready-made venues to fit the theme perfectly! All that's needed is an expert eye when it comes to styling, et voila!

Holly Allman-Lopez at Ambience Venue Styling, Bath (www.ambiencevenuestyling.com) says: “Deep, rich tones, such as blues, lilacs and greens offer an instant Regency feel. The Bridgerton style is full, opulence, drama and romance, so consider bold floral displays and beautiful details, such as coloured candles, bespoke calligraphy stationery, and details inspired by the period.”
