Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - Page number 35 - October/November 2021 (Issue 85)

I wore a Lillian West dress ( 66124 ). It was elegant but subtle and fitted the style of the day well. I accessorised with some flowers in my hair made by our florist. Alice Power made our beautifully rustic running order and table plan. We also set up a picture frame for selfies and a bureau for our guest book overlooking the spectacular view. Our guests also had a camping area where they could book a yurt or bell tent for the night, or they could choose to pitch their own tent. The new toilets and showers on site, built during lockdown, were quirky too. We had a bar area, as well as a pimp your prosecco station and an outdoor seating area complete with rattan chairs and tables, deck chairs and a beer pong table. It came to life in the evening when the festoon lighting came on. We enjoyed canapés at our drinks reception. Then, for our wedding breakfast, we enjoyed a tapas-style starter, followed by paella for main, and had a Great Wedding Bake Off competition for our pudding. The winner got a £50 bar tab. We rounded out the day with delicious tacos provided by our caterer. Tristan wore his No.1 Dress army uniform, as did his groomsmen, while the best man wore a suit and tie. REAL WEDDINGS 35
