Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - Page number 6 - October/November 2021 (Issue 85)

WIN! A HONEYMOON IN PROVENCE, FRANCE W ell, hello to all you lovely couples of this fine region, and welcome to my very first issue of Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding . I’m excited to bring you the absolute best this area has to offer you for your big day, so let’s dive straight in. As we get to know each other, there’s one thing you’ll grow to understand about me: there’s only one thing I’m as obsessed with as weddings and that’s Christmas! So, the fact that we’re now well into the autumn has me giddy with excitement already. I adore this season as the colours change and the air starts to cool. What a great time to get married, there’s such a wonderfully romantic atmosphere of promise as the leaves change colour. I love to see what couples and their suppliers come up with in terms of wedding colour palettes at this time of year. My top tip is blush and burgundy – simply gorgeous. I’m loving being involved with wedding plans myself as Melissa, my dear friend and editor here at CWM, makes plans to tie the knot next July, with yours truly as bridesmaid. She’s already chosen her gown, in which she looks stunning. But what we learned from this experience is not to panic if you don’t instantly burst into tears at the knowledge that it’s the one. If that’s just not you, you’re unlikely to change your entire personality the moment you try on a wedding dress. Sometimes, the realisation that you’ve chosen your dream attire comes from careful deliberation and a process of trying on all silhouettes to know what suits and what doesn’t. Melissa actually a chose a dress that’s the complete opposite of what she thought she’d go for and this is something we hear all the time. Remember: you do you and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I hope you enjoy this splendid issue and keeep planning! Kelly Andrews, senior editor Good times Can you believe this bouquet by www.cooperfloraldesign.co.uk is made entirely from paper? Seriously! Take a closer look… If you dream of being a princess for the day, be sure to check out fashion editor Claire’s round up of this season’s fairytale gowns. I’m thoroughly enjoying getting to know the region via its jaw-dropping venues. My first stop: Sedgemoor and North Somerset. 45 97 77 15 Kelly x ISSN 1755-4756 EDITORIAL 01376 535 611 Kelly Andrews | Senior Editor and Beauty Editor kellya@county.wedding Danielle Harvey | Managing Editor, Grooms Editor and Travel Editor Claire Ridley | Fashion Editor Melissa Barker | Contributing Editor DESIGN 01376 535 616 | artwork@county.wedding Graphic Designers | Sarah Hill Stephanie Hodder | Vicky O’Connor Production Assistant | Lorna Butcher Digital Marketing Coordinator Katie Laley Web Development Manager Stuart Weatherley ADVERTISING Sales & Events Director Sarah Ellis | 01376 538 490 sarahe@county.wedding Account Manager Rebecca Cane | 020 4505 9853 rebeccac@county.wedding Subscriptions 01376 514 000 subscriptions@county.wedding ACCOUNTS 01376 535 616 accounts@county.wedding Accounting Manager | Derrick James Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding is solely owned, published and designed by KD Media Publishing.
