A local ceilidh band was booked for the evening and was the real hit of the day. “Some guests had never taken part in one and it made for some great laughs and entertainment,” Lucy remembers. “It also made for some great photographs, which our photographer captured perfectly even though it was her first experience of a ceilidh – a chaotic one at that!” WORDS OF WISDOM “When you start planning your day, think about what’s most important for you and make sure you don’t stray too far from that,” Lucy recommends. “We wanted to keep the stress to a minimum, stay under our budget and spend as much time together on the day as we could. This aided our decision making and meant we spent quality time together here and there with no cameras and no one else around. This helped to keep our energy levels up and gave us a moment to soak it all in.” 26
