There’s nothing better than the first time you step out of the office at 5.30pm and it’s still light. Couple that with birds chirping in the trees and flowers starting to bloom, and it truly feels like the grip of winter has passed and that spring has officially sprung. We’ve got extra reason to be happy this season, as we’re celebrating our platinum 70th anniversary edition – I can’t believe how time flies.

Bristol Harbour Hotel
Located in the heart of the old city, within the impressive façade of two former banks, is this luxury hotel and spa. The remarkable venue, designed by renowned architect William Bruce Gingell, is an ideal location for celebrations and is conveniently located next door to the register office. The interiors are a perfect blend of contemporary features and original character, and ceremonies can be held in two spaces. The spectacular Sansovino boasts superb historical detail and a magnificent skylight, and it hosts up to 300 guests. The Vault Room is available for more intimate gatherings of up to 80 people. Receptions take place in these two rooms, as well as The Gold Bar; the former bank manager’s office is an opulent den with distinct masonry, high ceilings and stylish décor. If the weather is good, there’s also a patio area that overlooks St Nicholas Market. For quirky wedding portraits, couples can head to the nearby Castle Park to pose in front of its restored water feature and graffitied streets.
Packages can be tailored to each couple and can include wedding-night accommodation and spa use, blue-carpet arrival, menu tasting, a dedicated wedding coordinator and much more.
