As we watch another summer wedding season slide away from view, I get the joy of seeing all the beautiful big days that have happened over the past few months land in my inbox. It never ceases to amaze me what an incredibly talented bunch of suppliers we have in Bristol and Somerset and how many awesome couples there are who are dedicated to rocking their day in their own way. As a nosy parker, seeing all of your incredible weddings is the best part of my job – flick to page 30 to see this issue’s pick.
If you’re prone to wanderlust, turn to page 108 to check out our favourite honeymoon spots. I was lucky enough to head to the ultimate luxury destination: the Maldives. I know – I’d hate me too!
This issue, we’ve asked some of the best photographers in the regions to share images showing the emotional rollercoaster that is a wedding day (page 51) – get the tissues ready! We’ve also got three fabulous styled shoots for you (pages 79, 91 and 99) to help get your creative juices flowing.

St Audries Park
Spanning more than 100 acres in the rolling Quantock Hills, the St Audries Park estate boasts an elevated position with fabulous coastal views. The deer park and lake are serene settings, and the immaculate grounds feature neatly striped grass and a manicured croquet lawn.
The building provides an impressive backdrop for weddings, with towers, turrets, huge stained-glass windows and its Victorian-style Orangery. Inside, there are endless period features to enjoy in splendid surroundings.
All couples have exclusive use of the house and grounds for their special day. Vows are taken in The Orangery (130 guests) before making use of the many grand and elegant reception rooms. The Great Hall’s vaulted ceiling, minstrels’ gallery and roaring log fire make for an impressive welcome. The Drawing Room, with its hand-painted ceiling and wall of windows, is another favourite. For fine dining with a view, couples will love The Banqueting Hall, which overlooks the deer park and rose garden.
Nearlyweds can host an informal gathering the night before the wedding for up to 40 loved ones at Peregrine House. There’s also accommodation for up to 100 people for the wedding night.
