We asked Emma Dee The Bristol Seamstress what to expect if you order a bespoke wedding dress...
I always try to make the process really simple. Starting by looking at what you like and don't like when it comes to wedding gowns, then I can start to get an idea of bridal styles that work for you and make you feel comfortable.
Once we have a loose design and some fabric samples I will make the wedding dress or outfit in cotton, this is called a toile. I'll then pin this to get the right shape and we can add things like sleeves or a collar. At this point you will really start to see all the ideas come to life.
Finally we make it into the chosen fabric, and with just a few fittings you have your perfect outfit for the special day.
