The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens sits at the heart of the Medieval city of Wells
Steeped in history, The Bishop's Palace and Gardens sits at the heart...
We put your question to Bristol wedding florist, Natalie Lauraine Floral Design...
We're having a Spring country wedding. What flowers, colours and styles would you suggest for this?
I love spring weddings, with the new season there are lots of beautiful flowers that are now available. My favourite scented flowers for spring are sweetpeas and roses, and for texture I love using cornflowers and delphiniums.
All year round I love to use limonium for colour and as a light filler. In spring there is so much colour and life to celebrate in the flower world, so no matter what flowers you decide on, you can make an impact by choosing lots of colourful flowers that sit beautifully together.
There are so many styles to choose from at the moment, and while I love large romantic flowing bouquets, I also love the simple round posie that highlights the amazing flowers that are in season. I think there is a call for when you are using lots of colour to create a bouquet that you can see every single bloom in all its beauty. I love using pinks with yellows and blues for this season too.
