Tell us about your photo booth company?
Routed in Bristol, Booth Nineteen is a vintage-inspired photo-booth company with a difference.

What's your background and why did you launch your business?
Booth Nineteen was founded by Sam Bird in 2015 to be able to offer a truly incredible centrepiece in place of more generic plastic booths. The goal was to be able to serve more prestigious venues where weddings can become real-life fairytales. From the perfect joinery of the veneered booths to the dapper booth attendants who promise to entertain and engage, Booth Nineteen offers a unique experience to fit all fairytale beginnings.

What's your favourite type of wedding to work on?
Whilst we love attending all things vintage-inspired, our photo booths wooden finish makes them adaptable to all kinds of weddings. Our favourite venues to visit though, definitely have to be the beautiful manor houses perfectly hidden across the country in the Cotswolds, the Sussex Downs and South West countryside. We feel these venues are what we were truly shaped to complement. But that has not stopped us attending festival weddings, smaller arrangements in local halls and even a couple of events in someone's front room!

What's your top tip for couples planning a wedding?
Don't try and squeeze too much in! This is your day to enjoy, leave it to the photographers, caterers and entertainers to do the hard work and plan a day that gives you time to engage with your friends and family, many of whom will have travelled great distances and whom you may not see again for years. If 2020 has taught us anything already, it is the importance of the time we spend with loved ones.

What's the most common question couples ask you?
When should we start the photo booth? This is easily the most commonly asked question and my answer is always the same: think of us as the band, we normally arrive after the wedding breakfast is finished and often whilst the speeches are taking place, so if we are setting up in a different room it's perfect but if its a room turnaround we have to get more creative!

You also know your friends and family better than anyone, if you know they will need a few drinks at least before getting in front of the booth there is no use having us set up too early and vice versa!

How have you helped wedding couples during the coronavirus crisis?
Booth Nineteen has so far been able to accommodate 100% of postponements at no additional cost to our customers. Even as a company that is not set to receive any financial support due to the fact we work from home so do not pay business rates, we have ensured our customers are not left at a loss due to these horrific and unforeseeable circumstances and we will continue to do so to the best of our ability in the coming days and weeks.
