The 2018 Pinterest Wedding Report

The 2018 Pinterest Wedding Report: Image 1 With 4 billion wedding ideas, Pinterest has inspiration for your big day regardless of your vision or budget.
Below are some of the top trends on Pinterest to get the party started.

Wedding Style
Comfort is key. For a little extra coverage, women are turning to high necklines (+351%) and toppers like boleros (+163%). Meanwhile, jumpsuits (+178%), sleeves (+75%) and flats (+119%) are making it easy to dance like all of your friends and family are watching.
It’s your day, do it your way! If white isn’t your colour (nobody’s immune from a red wine spill, not even a bride), try a rose (+46%) or champagne dress (+358%). And if you’re not a veil person, throw on a cape (+88%). For jewellery, minimalist backdrop necklaces (+207%) are a great way to add some charm.
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the guys. With stylish tweed suits (+165%) and relaxed tie-free ensembles (+459%), grooms are getting the chance to show a bit more personality.
Something old, something new, something borrowed...something on the shoe? Leave a note (+58%) on your future spouse’s shoes for a sweet surprise.
Unique engagement rings Three types of engagement rings to make getting down on one knee a little more stress-free: Moissanite gems (+294%), Art deco (+173%) and Oval stones (+125%).

Wedding Beauty
Brides are saying “I do” to messy updos (1247%) and hair combs (+89%). For those who prefer to let their hair down, there’s soft waves with side parts (+55%).
Give yourself a natural shine! When it comes to makeup, brides are opting for lip gloss (+459%) and barely-there shine (+343%). But if there’s one feature to go big on, make it your eyelashes: long, lush lashes are up 152% on Pinterest.

Wedding Food
Piece of cake. Don’t let your dessert outshine you on your wedding day—change those towering cakes for something a little more elegant and relaxed, such as Fig cakes (+575%), Metallic decorations (+476%) or Minimal, white frosting (+235%).
Weddings are about love… and who doesn’t love cheese and carbs? Say goodbye to fancy plated dinners and eat pizza (+120%) instead.
Give your guests with dietary restrictions something extra to celebrate with vegan wedding food (+186%).
Surprise snack! Tie the knot with a pretzel bar (+343%), then keep the party going all night long with midnight snacks (236%).

Wedding Decor and more
Flower Power! From centrepieces to drinks, here are the top five ways to add some flowers to the big day: Potted plants (+782%), Suspended flowers (+346%), Floral cocktails (+247%), Single-stem proteas (+121%) and Minimal arrangements (+113%).
Natural Alters This year’s all about “alternative altars” and letting nature serve as your backdrop (+259%).
Make your guests some happy campers with a camp wedding (+95%). For more camp vibes, play wedding games (+69%) and create a Jenga guest book (+216%).
Make your own path during your walk down the aisle. Unconventional materials like acrylic signs (+194%), cement accents (+320%) and DIY confetti (+432%) are on the rise.
Give your wedding some shape. We’re seeing geometric shapes come up in everything from 3D invitations (+188%) to place settings (+145%).
Make an entrance with one-of-a-kind arrivals (+356%) on boats or scooters.
Want the ultimate easy nuptials? Try a courthouse ceremony (+129%).
Bye bye, love-birdies. Now that the wedding’s over, it’s time for some rest and relaxation. You can’t go wrong with any of these honeymoon destinations: Switzerland (+856%), Safari (+219%) and Bali (+145%).
Say hello to the bachelor(ette) party! Avoid the hangover and go with a relaxing spa retreat (+187%).
