It's showtime with wedding saxophonist Lucy Harvey!
A handful of Somerset wedding businesses have collaborated with award-winning musician Lucy Harvey to create a new music show reel at the beginning of March. The video features popular wedding cover songs performed on the saxophone with vocals from Ruelle, Sam Smith and more. The video showcases a spectrum of diverse suppliers from around the region, with wedding venue South Sands Hotel and surrounding Sand Bay Beach providing the stunning scenery. Meanwhile, driftwood artist Dan Wakeman installed a two-metre high love heart on the beach, and Enhanced Entertainment provided love letters and uplighters to transform the venue. Expertly filmed and edited by Kien from KB Wedding Videography, and supported by LIKE Photography's Lisa, the day was a huge success. You can check out the finished video at www.lucyharvey.co.uk

We spoke to Tannith Perry from Easton Social Dancing about the company
Easton Social Dancing offers a free, zero obligation, 45-minute wedding dance consultation. Keen to know more, we chatted to experienced teacher Tannith Perry...We'll discuss the various things you need to consider: music, style of dance, how your dress could impact your dance, the venue and more. Then, based on these factors we'll start learning one or more styles of dance.
There are many different approaches to the first dance. Some of my past clients wanted to wow their guests by performing a choreographed routine, others wanted the ability to dance to their favourite song with a simple grace and ease. Learning some basic patterns and lead and follow techniques takes a huge amount of stress off of both partners so you can enjoy your special moment without anxiety as well as leaving a lasting impression on your family and friends.

Christmas winter wedding music
Getting married at Christmas doesn't mean that you have to plan a Christmas-themed wedding. Here, roaming band The Travelling Hands, suggest songs that would work well for a Christmas winter wedding and the songs to avoid! When it comes to music, the same rule applies. Just because you want to get married at Christmas it doesn't mean that your musical playlist has to be full of Wizzard & Cliff Richard if you don't want it to be there. When our acoustic roaming band The Travelling Hands perform at winter weddings we see a wide variety of decisions when it comes to Christmas songs. Some want to embrace the Christmas classics - adding these into their day. Others like a few placed in here and there, whilst some want to just stick to their favourite songs without any Christmas numbers added in at all.

Entertainment that will keep your guests happy throughout the day
Live music! Always guaranteed to keep the mood joyful and get your guests tapping their feet or singing along. It can complement any point throughout your special day from pre-wedding ceremony music to setting-the-mood tunes during your drinks reception, or even the often over-looked early evening guest arrival. You don't have to save it until your evening bash. It also works perfectly alongside other entertainment, such as the background music while a close-up magician performs during a drinks reception or as a live soundtrack of your favourite songs during your wedding breakfast while you eat. What's more, having some super-funky live tunes playing as guests enjoy visits to the photo booth is another option.
