Get your skates on this summer with 70s-inspired styles from Impala Skate

70s-inspired pink and yellow roller boots from Impala Skate

Fashion meets fitness this summer with the trend for roller skating here to stay. Whether you're a complete beginner, or regularly enjoy this favourite pastime, get moving with Impala Skate, an Australian-born brand that's making this activity cool again with its offering of vegan-friendly, vintage-inspired roller skates, inline skates and skateboards plus accessories and protective gear designed to help you get your groove on.

Insta-worthy styles influenced by the 70s include these retro-looking pink and yellow skates, and a rose gold pair with a hologram finish designed in collaboration with Australian-born hoola hoop master and expert skater Marawa (who has six pairs of custom high-heeled roller skates that she performs in!)

One of the latest additions to the ever-expanding collection is the patent plum colour and the brand recently launched the Harmony Blue style as part of its Harmony Blue Roller Skate initiative. For every pair of Harmony Blue skates sold, Impala has and will continue to donate a portion of the proceeds to causes around the world that protect the rights and health of children. Impala has made four donations since it launched to Save The Children in the UK and USA and UNICEF in Australia.

Given the humanitarian crisis that has resulted from the invasion of Ukraine, Impala is pleased that both charities are currently working either on the ground or through partners in Ukraine as well as in neighbouring countries Poland and Romania to distribute food, essentials and psychological support to those affected by the current crisis. CEO Matt Hill tells us, "We feel proud that we can contribute to such worthy causes and we truly appreciate our customers getting behind Impala to support this initiative."

The Harmony Blue initiative is part of the broader Impala Gives program, which aims to support local community groups, causes and organisations that help those in need, and bring skating to those who may not otherwise have access to it. Each year, Impala makes hundreds of product and cash donations to charities, organisations and community groups across the world.

Why not gather your best friends together to enjoy this budget-friendly sport as a fun way to mark a hen (or stag) celebration that's suitable for all age groups. It's also an easily accessible hobby for a pre-wedding exercise plan without the costly gym membership.
