Ashley Graham and Pronovias launch second bridal collection
The 17 styles present lightweight and fashion-forward silhouettes with an important improvement in the design and the construction of the dresses to offer the top quality to all type of women, co-designed by Ashley together with Alessandra Rinaudo, the Pronovias group chief artistic director. They are a dream come true for many curvy and plus-size brides who, like Ashley, have been challenged when finding the perfect bridal fit in a dress that makes them feel modern, stylish, and sensational. "I really feel the first Ashley Graham x Pronovias collection was such an amazing success because we didn't create it just for curvy women, but all types of women," says Ashley. "I was thrilled to be involved in this second collection because Pronovias Group is an amazing company that understands how women want to feel on their wedding day."
Alessandra adds, "This time round we put a lot more emphasis on design innovation. We upgraded the fabrics, the beading, the lace and embroidery. And we really thought about how brides could feel fabulous at different types of celebrations, from simple to extravagant to destination weddings."
This collection redefines shape, style and fit for curvy women with sartorial innovation from the inside out. Transparent bodices are lined with skin color nets and tulles and supported by lightweight bone constructions, lending a sensual yet fully supportive décolleté to generously endowed brides. Proportionality in the extended size range was carefully studied, tweaking every detail, from backline to skirt volume and cup size, to create a perfectly balanced silhouette for the curvy figure. Fabrics of skirt linings and under layers were chosen for their fine weave, comfort and flexibility, slimming the figure and creating a svelte effect over the hips and thighs.
Alessandra says, "Every detail was studied in order to still slim the silhouette, from the skillful use of skin-tone colours, the proportion of the neck and backlines to the skirt volume, and technical inner constructions."
