Olivia and Alice Nash first met online, but they soon found out that their paths could've crossed before. “We had so much in common and couldn't believe it when we discovered that we had gone to the same school,” says Olivia. Over time their relationship blossomed. “We're very different, but our personalities complement each other perfectly,” adds the bride.
Two years after meeting, the couple went away for a weekend in Poole to celebrate Alice's birthday. “It was a beautiful March day so we took a boat out from Poole harbour and found a quiet spot close to Brownsea Island. It was here that I popped the question,” says Olivia. Later that evening, they went for a delicious meal and stayed in a seafront hotel. “We have such wonderful memories of that weekend,” she adds.
The happy couple returned home and soon booked their gorgeous Orchardleigh wedding for the 9th September, 2017. Here, Olivia tells us more about their special day…
We loved the period style of the venue and its lavish look. We wanted our whole day to be in one place and for our loved ones to be able to stay the night, so it was ideal.
We had classic roses in pink, purple and cream along with gold vases and candles.
We wanted our cake to represent who we are, so we decided on a simple style with roses running down the side in rainbow colours.
Our pretty pink and gold theme was reflected throughout the day, from our table plan and place names, to the stationer y.
To keep our friends and family enter tained we had a photo booth and an amazing singer called Sticky Toffee Jazz. She really got the party star ted!
Alice arrived late to the wedding; everyone expected it to be me as I’m the
Our bride's men looked so handsome in traditional tailcoats with striped trousers, while the bridesmaids rocked full-length gowns.
We continued celebrations with a week in Croatia, and we're hoping to have a second honeymoon in the Caribbean.
The speeches were wonder ful; everyone really did us justice and we felt so lucky.
Everyone tells you the day will go so quickly – and it really did – but it was completely per fect.
