We ask Bristol-based hairstylist Nicole Stephanie Ball of The Hairbook by Nicole Stephanie your burning question...
I've seen some gorgeous pictures of messy buns and textured up dos, but my hair is so thin and straight. Can I still get this look?
When working with a professional, anything is possible. I always recommend having a trial and I can create the look you desire. I believe honesty is the best policy, so if I think your hair would also look great in a different style, then I'll advise you on this.
With messy looks, it's easy to give texture to the hair before we put it into an up do. Extra hair can be added too, if you're open to this. If you'd prefer to just use your own hair, then that isn't a problem, but depending on the length of your locks your up do may need to change position.
The key with finding your perfect style is to have a trial, be open-minded and put your trust in your stylist. Check out their previous work to see if they've created similar hairstyles to what you want; this will make you feel more at ease.
